Can you detect urine stains in my home?

Yes, if you can’t detect that bad urine smell then let us come to your home the night before your scheduled cleaning with our DCI detection equipment. The DCI detection equipment uses a black light to illuminate urine stains making them readily visible. In order for our DCI detection equipment to work effectively it must be operated at night.

How long will it take my carpet to dry?

Depending on the size of the room, the average drying time is approximately 2 to 4 hours. This time can be dramatically reduced with the use of our air movers.

The last time our carpet was cleaned it discolored upon drying. Why did this happen?

Yellowing or discoloration is caused by over-wetting the carpet which normally occurs with most “rush” jobs. There are many untrained professionals and “Fly-by-Night” companies who are rushing to get the job done sacrificing quality. We at A Fancy Floor pride ourselves on quality work as we are not interested in making a “quick buck”, we would rather have a repeat customer.

Why is it important to be certified with the Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Restoration (IICR)?

The results you receive by having your home cleaned by a Technician that is IICR Certified and by an untrained individual can cost you your floors. This training teaches a Tech how to identify which carpet fibers they are working with, how chemicals will react with different carpet fibers, how to properly remove stains with out removing your carpet fibers and so forth. This training is essential for the carpet cleaning industry.
